Coaches will call 911 for any life-threatening emergency. If medical care is needed, coaches will contact parents as soon as possible and assist in seeking medical care as needed. Any event adversely affecting an athlete’s safety or health will be reported to parents as soon as possible and within 24 hours and will be documented in writing and shared with the head coach as soon as possible and within 24 hours.
All coaches have completed the CDC’s concussion awareness course and will follow protocols described in the course as needed. Athletes and parents who wish to learn more about concussions may also consider taking the CDC’s course.
All coaches have completed the CDSS’s mandated reporter program.
